Continuing the fun of playing the Prosperity Game, I am finally reaching some serious money. I’m definitely out of my accustomed "level" where I’ve become used to living with money.
Discussing the game with my wife at lunch today, she asked "What’s the point of thinking about these things? It would just make me sad to want a bunch of things I can’t have." I understand what she’s saying, but I’m finding just the opposite.
It is making me happy to realize how quickly and how little money it took before I was completely out of the little gadget and consumer good zone. Extremely quickly, I was into serious dream territory. That’s one thing I’ve learned and I’m thinking about a great deal, just how close to runaway success and abundance I actually am. Seriously, a few thousand dollars is nothing at all, barely any barrier when judged against any kind of time scale or yardstick. Of course, I haven’t paid any debt off with the dream money, but those dollars are also quite small, a few thousand dollars.
Is that all that’s been holding me back from my dreams? A few grand and the willingness to go for it? That’s what it feels like right now.
Day 7, $7000
Depositing $7000 into the First Dream Bank, I’m spending it on:
- 52 weeks of maid service and $120/week, plus a nice Christmas bonus for the maid.
